I use the bike to rehab my knee from knee replacement surgery. I can adjust the tension by pushing a button. The seat is comfortable on my back, I experience back problems, but this is fine. It does not take up much space in my workout room. It is esy to use, not a lot of confusing bells and whistles. Very reasonable price. I am very satisifed with this machine.

I use this bike every day to keep my arthritic knees in good shape, strenghten my quads and hamstrings and keep my weight in normal range.

It is streamlined, light weight and quiet during use.

What I would improve upon is the program- I wish it went beyond 8 levels of resistance.

Both my Wife and I work out daily on our bike,since we bought it a month ago. Both of us were active( work outs at the Y) until injuries and illness became a factor. I bought this bike for crosstraining as I do long distance running, so I only use it twice a week. It works great and is definately worth the price. The only con is that the seat is not all that comfortable, but it is still better than any other seats in the price range. I am also 6' 2" and it is just big enough for me with my long legs, so if you are taller than me I would recommend a larger bike.

I originally thought that the internet offer was too good to be true, with all the "freebies" included, but thought I'd give it a shot anyway. I was stunned to discover the incredible strength and quality of the components, with a degree of reservation as to my satisfaction with the monitor. There is nothing wrong with the monitor--it is just hard for me to see the data on the screen, due to my somewhat limited eyesight. I wish the figures were ANY color but the black figures on the screen. The only problem we had with set up was that the Allen Key provided was weak and began stripping. We had an Allan Key set so used our own with no difficulty.
Pros: Bike is comfortable for us (2 people in family have back problems). It is easy to adjust, so everyone in the family can use it. There are a variety of programs to suit our different needs.
Cons: The display screen is hard to read. I have had to put my face very close to it and even use a flashlight because there is not enough light in the corner of the room mine is located to adequately see the small display. It could be brighter and bigger. But now that I'm getting used to what the tiny darkened bleeps represent, its not so bad.

I had used many exercise bikes in gyms and was afraid that this would pale in comparison. It does not! Stable and quiet, it offers all I need. Frankly, I doubt that the heart monitor works (they don't on the gym bikes either) but who cares. Good product for the money. Just take it slowly when putting it together as the directions are not overly explicit. It's a nice touch that they include the batteries, too.

Came promptly via fedex. Two hours set-up and I'm loving everything I'd hoped it would offer. Forget "heart rate" and other diagnostic baloney -- they don't work on commercial bikes either. But for smooth, quiet, vibration-free exercise this bike is great. Seat adjustment is a bit crude ("clunk!") but it seems to work i.e. holds the seat in place. Battery operated feature is good too, eliminating cord and need for outlet nearby. If this product lasts for a few years I'm a happy customer.

A back that could be adjusted higher would be nice. A larger seat would add comfort. Front hold bars would be nice. Overall this machine is great value for the price.

A few problems with assembly:the booklet was put together out of sequence, but once we figured that out, assembly went well. The straps to attach to the foot pedals were mis-marked: left was really right, etc., but since it wouldn't actually allow assembly in error, that was OK. I am impressed at how sturdy and professional the whole machine is--and a bargain!

Overall, I love my new bike! I don't think the display is too hard to read at all and it is very easy to use. The setup wasn't too bad either. It is very quiet which is great for me since I ride it while watching TV.

I don't like that you can't turn the display off manually and the seat isn't as comfortable as I would like it. For the price though, it just can't be beat! I think with a bit more time, the seat will be more comfortable as I break it in.

I've never been an excercise addict but needed to start getting some regular workouts. Lower back pain kept me from treadmills. This bike is comfortable and after you figure out how to adjust the programs (a bit of a learning curve) it is a good workout. The control panel is small, the headings ultra tiny and difficult to read especially without a lighted background. If Schwinn could make these changes, this would be a 5+ star unit! With the weather turning bad I wanted an indoor exercise plan. Never had an exercise bike but after reviews bought this recumbent. Really great. In addition to being solid and comfortable the electronics are superb - various exercise routines preprogrammed, heart/pulse feedback through the handles etc. Put it in front of a TV or even read a book and the 30mins fly by. Great Exerciser for getting my legs inshape in preparation for knee replacement surgery. I am scheduled for a medial unicmpartmental knee replacement of the right knee. I will use the bike for getting thighs and quads in shape prior to surgery and for rehabilitaion following surgery.. Great bike.. My wife has now started using the bike for her exercise. Foul winter weather prevents her from walking her 5 miles a day.

I am sure the bike would have been great, but it was too low for my mother. It was purchased because she had a hip replacement. And she could not lift her hip that high to push the pedals so we had to return it. If she had not had this type of surgery maybe she could have used it. Your staff however are great and will be looking to your company for some future furniture purchases.

Easy to assemble and all the parts were there! VERY QUIET!! Wish there was a way to plug it directly to the outlet rather than use batteries, but we will see how long they last.

A friend and my spouse helped set-up the machine. Great directions but everything needed to be set-up - no partial assembly. My MS makes this bike a good choice since balance (for me) is a huge deficit, and there are grab bars on either side. I have a Schwinn Airdyne bike but I can't safely get on and off any more. I knew Schwinn equipment was well designed. My hope is to use the recumbent bike 3-4 times a week. So far so good.

Because my husband and I have back and neck problems, we got rid of our treadmill and got the Schwinn recumbent bike. We actually get a better work-out from the bike then the treadmill. The bike is so comfortable and it is so quiet that I can put it in the tv room and not disturb anyone else. It is a great product, especially for the price.

I have to use a walker to get around due to knee problems. This bike does NOT hurt my knees. I use it to get a little aerobic excercise because I am so sedentary. It tracks my pulse and calories and much more, plus gives you programs to challenge you, like inclines etc. I'm very happy with this bike. It is big though.

I am using the exercise bike for physical
therapy following complete knee replacement,and
it really does the job. It can be adusted to the right bend in the beginning and can be increased
as my knee mends and I need to exercise a deeper bend.The resistance is so adjustable I don't have
to worry about over doing my workouts. I really have not found anything to complain about,yet.

Just began program three days ago after 20 years post stroke-left side paralysis-needed low impact exercise. Already feel effects of the muscles in torso getting stronger. The bike is working out fine except after I sit on the seat for 15 minutes the seat is uncomfortable. It seems wide enough but I think it needs more padding.

As purchased through Mercantlla it is a very good value. The product is sound. It works well as an exerciser and low impact conditioning machine. The bike computer and exerciser programs are for the most part useless due to the dark unlighted display. The person riding the bike can nor read any of the information on the screen. The use of external light sourse to light up the screen results in glare on the cover lense. I use a timer or clock to time my exercise time. I get no information from the computer. I do feel that I am getting good benifits from using the Schwinn 20

I really enjoy the bike, I use it twice a day for therapy. I only have two suggestions, there should be a light in the control head. The back ground is dark and the lines and numbers are black, even with glasses on it's hard to read. I only have one more suggestion, I'm 6'1" and have long legs, I bought this to get a full extension on my ham strings but the track is about 2" too short.

We recently bought this product for low impact and heart rate training and found it to be excellent fit for us. My wife and I are in our mid-fifties so age has taken a toll on being able to do the harder type fitness. I bought this for physical therapy, I had a regular stationary bike and my therapist told me to get a recumbent bike. I'm very pleased with this bike. I have only one problem, the track is 2" to short to get a full extension of my leg mussels.

I recently had shoulder and knee surgery. The shoulder surgery made it a little harder to assemble, but with basically one arm I put the the bike together without any problems.
It's quiet and is very smooth. It's just what I need to get my knee back in shape.
The owners manual could use some better instructions and I'm going to do some searching to see if more in depth instructions are available.
Overall good buy!!!!
