I ordered a different bike by looks which turned out to be junk, I returned it and ordered this bike. When it arrived I was shocked, it looks awesome in person, it was 10 times better then the first bike I ordered. It is a super bike and its a solid bike, not junk. Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

I got the bike about 3 weeks ago and running super, very quiet but get a great workout. All the parts were arranged in order but was still difficult to set up,took over 1 hour with two people and middle bar wouldn't slide in without some banging on it and one step is missing from directions and pulse monitor won't work until you figure it out.

Service & Delivery comments:

Bike arrived in less than 1 week and in great condition.Only complaint was that Fed-Ex driver left the bike on my back porch without even attempting to ring the doorbell.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

I'm so pleased with this bike. I really don't like to do exercise, though I've loved biking and waterskiing and golf-fun outdoor sports. I'm now a senior, with bad knees and a heart condition, so I can't do those things anymore, but am able to get my exercise on this bike without injury. So I'm so surprised, because of the performance and quality of this bike, that I actually enjoy riding it. Thanks, Schwinn

I received this bike for a Christmas present and I have been using it for about six months now. I primarily use it at home whenever I am not able to make it to the gym. It provides a good workout and I am able to watch television while I work out. It is very durable and it has two rolling wheels on the front that help me transport it from my office to the family room.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

I bought a different bike first and was so disappointed, returned it immediately and ordered a well known brand, SCHWINN. I should have done this to start with because it lives up to the Schwinn reputation. I have learned to go with the well known brands now, lesson learned. This bike is so sturdy and well made, not flimsy like the other brand I bought the first time.. This is a great bike. Looks even better in person.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

No problems with the bike the first couple times I used it. Very quiet but after the 3rd time I used it the bike seat started making noises. Then the wheel squeeked once or twice. I'm going to try tighten everything up and see if that helps. I work out after my baby goes to sleep and I am right outside his room so I need it to be quiet. Plus, the noise is annoying. I'm a little concerned that it will get worse the more I use it like my eliptical did. Other than that, I love it.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

The unit is easy to set up and operate. The only thing I wish it would not do is "Thump." The rectangular slide that supports the seat assembly and slides on the chrome horizontal bar moves sidweways and causes the "Thump" as I pedal. I can put a twisting force with my hands as I'm pedaling and the "Thump" disappears. I will have to develop some kind of wedge to stop the side motion.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

I ride the stationary bike 6-7 days a week at least an hour, very hard, to stay in shape for mountaineering. I shopped around after riding my last bike (just like the one before that) until it "died". I am very happy with the Schwinn 203. This bike is very solid, comfortable, and whisper-quiet. Set up was easy. Fantastic value for the price.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

[...]when it came the box was in great condition with all the parts intact. The bike came with a small adjustment to the directions, but pretty easy to figure out as long as you took the instructions step by step. It is SUPER quiet and really easy to use. I love the heart rate program which allows me to keep a heart rate percentage that will enhance my fitness level. I also love the recovery feature that adds an added bonus of letting me know my fitness level on a scale of 1 to 6. Now I can see how I progress in this area without having guess. It's easy to adjust to the right length and works like a charm.

To loosen up my knee and hips. I've had 4 knee surgeries and have had both of my hip joints replaced. It allows me to work the muscles without weight bearing. I can work my knee as hard or as gently as needed. The hardest thing for me is getting on and off, when my knee is stiff. But overall I really like it.

I did alot of research before I purchased our Recumbent Bike made by Schwinn. After a few days of research on the internet, especially other's who gave excellent reviews, I decided to purchase the Schwinn. The Schwinn did cost a "littel" bit more but the reliability and performance of the Schwinn easly justifies the extra cost. We are a family of 3 and we all use the Schwinn during our excercise workouts.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

Not bad to put together, just read the directions. Smooth and stable. The preprogrammed modules are excellent. Have not figured out how to use manual entry, heart rate, goals, etc. User manual computer section should be called "useless manual". Still, all in all excellent exercise bike for the price. Feels more stable than the step through type model 230 which I tried in the store.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

I like this bike pretty well. I am using it while I recoup from a fractured collar bone. I will probably use it in the winter too. The bike rides smooth and silent. It adjusts easily, but not quite enough. The seat angle needs a bit of adj for me as the backs of my legs hit the edge of the seat when I have the pedals where I want them. If there was a bit of a curved cutout there it might fix that too. The pedal placement also puts my legs kind of far apart - a lot further than a standard bike. The only other thing I would like is for the distance meter to show the increase in distance covered when riding with resistance. It shows the same with resistance or not. I still think that this is a good buy and I am happy with it.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

This machine is extremely quiet. We use it in our living room, and it does not interfere at all with talking or watching tv. It has plenty of choices for programs and also lets you choose a manual program as well. The handles are at a comfortable level and checking your heart rate is quick and simple. It was super easy to set up - my husband had it put together in less than a half hour. Great machine for a great price!!

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

The bike went together without much trouble at all. I recently had shoulder surgery, and was able to put the bike together in about 1 hour with 1 arm. Hardware is shrink-wrapped to cardboard and organized by install phase, which is a big plus. I'm used to a baggie of hardware (which may or may not contain the correct number of each screw, washer, etc) that many times leaves you guessing what goes where. Provided tools are OK, but if you have a socket wrench with Alan (size M32 I believe), this will speed the process.

Parts are durable and solid - box that the unit was shipped in looks like it tumbled down a flight of stairs - but nothing at all was broken or damaged or bent.

Bike is VERY QUIET! Computer easy to use... I didn't even crack the manual and was able to figure out the general operation. Pedal action has a smooth feel to it. Seating position/posture is comfortable.

I just set it up yesterday so I haven't really gotten to seriously using it yet - except to fiddle around with it after putting it together. I look forward to using it! Hopefully I will have additional positive comments after using for a few months, but can't speak to the reliability yet.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

My Schwinn 203 Recumbent was a killer deal through Mercantila stationary-bike shop. I saved a great deal of money on a quality rig which I could have paid $100's more for even at the membership warehouse stores. It functions quite well and has proven durable. Despite the description it does have a variety of programs and a customizable program as well as manual control.

Assembly is required, no biggie if you have any mechanical sense. Instructions adequate, not great.

Cons: not EASILY moved, although not terribly difficult- has wheels on one end; must lift the lighter end up to move unit. Requires wall wart power supply which is my only real regret. I used a virtually identical model at physical therapy which was self powering when pedaled. That would have been a huge plus, since there is no real need to locate near an outlet or to have to run an extension cord which gets tripped over. But for the price? Yes, I'd do it over again.

Service & Delivery comments:

Box arrived pretty beat up, but all except one small plastic cap was in good shape. I should have probably gotten the cap replaced under warranty, but it is really only a minor aesthetic issue.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

The bike is great for exercise and set up is easy, quiet to operate and easy to use if you are over 5'3". But if you are a person that is less than 5'3" then you need to do your homework and find out how the seat and pedal adjustment lengths work. I am 5'1" and I had to have the seat readjusted (Brought forward) so I could reach the pedals. Even with the adjustment it is not as comfortable I would say as a regular exercise bike.

I get a great workout on this bike whether I go for 10 minutes or 60 minutes. There's a great variety of pre-set workout plans and it is very quiet to use. I wish it ran on battery power and not electric power, but haven't found it to be a huge problem. I would buy this bike again because it is comfortable, quiet and gives me a great workout.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

Great product. Quiet operation and stability were all-important to me. Wanted to be able to watch TV while on the bike. It's perfect. Also important were pre-programmed regimens. This model has everything I need.I am NOT into self-assembly, but I consider myself very competent when I do have to do it. This bike came with excellent instructions, and all the parts were well organized and numbered to correspond with the instructions. HOWEVER, the "electrical" part of the assembly was not well-described and caused me to ruin a key feature (the heart rate monitor hook-up). [...] Other than that, I've been very satisfied with the bike and highly recommend it.

[...]Very good. I quit the "spa" because it became inconvinent. The 203 seems to be an adequate replacement for the spa machines. I can't speak to the durability but it looks to be very solid. Allocate about 2 hours for assembly but the frustration level is pretty low.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

I use the bike every day, twice a day. It is quiet, easy to operate, and has great pre-set programs and many choices of resistance levels. I use it for aerobics training. The best thing about it is you have back support but it also works your abs because you are sitting back. This is a great bike for anyone who has a back problem and needs support but it would be good for anyone who wants a good workout. I also find the seat very comfortable for long workouts.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

There is not enough info given on this product when purchasing. I relied on the Schwinn name but it wasn't for me at all. I am 5'3" and could not comfortably reach the pedals even after adjusting it all the way. Also the programming is difficult and the movement feels very manual (as opposed to electronic).

Good stable bike for the price. I am 240pd and it did not wobble and was able to take a fast rpm. Programs were not that easy to figure out and mostly did manual. After 6 months either the computer or adjustable motor went out and would not adjust the tension. Other then that the bike was good for the price.

Comments about Schwinn Schwinn 203 Recumbent Bike:

I think this is a great bike for the price. I am not at all mechanically inclined and I put it together myself in about 2 hours. It is so quiet and comfortable. I really wanted something that would get me back into shape and toned and I already feel like it is working. 45 minutes a night flies by, but it is a tough workout depending on which program you choose. I would highly recommend it to anyone.
